Yalding Organic Gardens encompasses about 5 acres of Kent Countryside near the village of Yalding.

The Gardens are about 15 years old, having been started from a field in the early 90's. The gardens a run by a dedicated team, passionate about growing food and gardening organically.

Described by the Daily Telegraph as 'among the most inspirational garden acres anywhere, for everyone', the gardens are rapidly gaining a reputation for being amongst the very best in the South East.

Nestling against a traditional backdrop of hop gardens and oast houses, the gardens trace garden history through sixteen landscaped displays, including a 13th century apothecary's garden, a Tudor Knott, a cottagers garden in the early 19th century, with an orginal Victorian Greenhouse, and a stunning herbacious border inspired by Gertrude Jekyll. Coming up to date, Yalding also features a 21st Century Garden, a Low-water Garden, a Children’s Garden and a teaching garden to help novices grow vegetables.

Yalding is committed to using organic principles for gardening and growing, so naturally the gardens also demonstrate the best ways of making compost and how to control pests and diseases without using pesticides.
